History Academic Mentor - Durham
I am looking for a History Mentor to work in an inner-city school in Durham. The role is full time and will last from January until May initially.
History Academic Mentor – What the Role Involves
- Providing targeted academic support in History lessons
- Leading small-group and one-to-one History interventions across KS3 and KS4
- Supporting pupils in developing analytical and essay-writing skills
- Assisting with progress tracking, assessment and pupil feedback
- Working closely with class teachers to tailor support to individual student needs
History Academic Mentor – What The School Is Looking For
The ideal candidate will be a History graduate with a 2:1 or First-Class degree from a UK University Experience working with young people in any setting is valuable, particularly in a tutoring, classroom, or mentoring capacity. You'll need to bring energy, clarity in communication, and a genuine desire to help pupils thrive in History. A proactive, reflective attitude and willingness to learn from experienced colleagues will go a long way.
