<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p><p><p><strong>Accounting Manager ( On- Site ) - Full time</strong></p><p><strong><span >Scarborough/Markham</span> area</strong></p><p></p><p><strong>5+ Years of Experience minimum</strong></p><p></p><p></p><p><strong><em>Key Requirements:</em></strong></p><p></p><p>Bachelor&#39;s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or equivalent certification preferred).</p><p>Minimum of 4+ years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.</p><p>Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, and financial regulations. / Experience with tax compliance and corporate governance.</p><p>Proficient in accounting software (financial interfaces with Oracle / SAP or similar (asset) and strong user of Microsoft Excel.</p><p>Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.</p><p>Ability to analyze financial data and present findings clearly and concisely and being detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize deadlines.</p><p>Understand intercompany reconciliation & multi branch accounting & in a fast-paced or high-growth environment.</p><p>Exposure with Hedge Accounting and Foreign exchange transactions.</p><p></p><p><strong><em>Key Responsibilites:</em></strong></p><p></p><p><strong>Month-End & Year-End Close:</strong></p><p>Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with deadlines.</p><p>Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and ensure proper documentation for all transactions.</p><p>Review the monthly GST/HST/PST/QST Tax filings / Assist with CRA audits</p><p>Coordinate the preparation of tax filing packages and support the annual & quarterly audit process</p><p></p><p><strong>Financial Reporting & Analysis:</strong></p><p>Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS .</p><p>Oversee the preparation and submission of various financial reporting requirements for management & internal stakeholders.</p><p>Produce financial analysis to identify variances, trends, and areas for improvement.</p><p></p><p><strong>Internal Controls & Compliance:</strong></p><p>Recommend process improvements and controls as needed.</p><p>Maintaining strong system of internal controls to ensure accurate financial reporting & protect company assets .</p><p>Stay on top of compliance with accounting regulations, internal policies, and industry standards.</p><p></p><p><strong>Leadership & Supervvisory Skills:</strong></p><p>Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team to ensure timely and accurate completion of accounting activities.</p><p>Give guidance on accounting issues while ensuring your team adheres to internal policies and accounting principles.</p></p></p></p>
