What project will this contractor be working on: Current project to migrate existing Infomatica workflow to Azure Databricks

Target Start Date: Dec 15th

Duration: 6 months

Potential for this contract to be extended or converted to FTE? Extension: Yes

Remote/Hybrid: Hybrid – 5 days per month (every Tuesday & second Friday) Office Location: 81 Bay st.

Work Schedule (hours per week, start time): 9 to 5 - 37.5 hour Potential for OT? No OT

Job Description

You’ll be joining CIBC’s HR Technology Team, which supports HR business operations through various vendor SaaS applications. The team ensures seamless data integration between systems and delivers enterprise-scale projects involving multiple back‑end systems and SaaS integrations.

Design & Development

• Lead and coordinate advanced application programming activities.


• Architect technical infrastructure using databases, programming languages, utilities, and testing frameworks.


• Deliver cost‑effective, scalable, and innovative solutions that enhance user experience.


• Perform and coordinate complex programming with SQL and Python scripting.


• Design technical integrations using FTPS deployment and PGP encryption.


• Develop and support current Informatica ETL processes.


• Support SaaS integrations (SSO deployment, file integrations with 3rd‑party vendors).

Leadership & Collaboration

• Conduct code reviews, and ensure project alignment.


• Mentor intermediate and senior developers, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing.

Application Support

• Provide problem resolution during business hours for supported applications.

Must Have Requirement

Must have Skills

• 5+ years of hands‑on experience in Informatica Development.


• 5+ years of experience with Oracle and SQL (data extraction and batch processing).


• 5+ years of Unix Scripting (file movement and extract generation).


• 5+ years of experience with Autosys (job scheduling).


• 2+ Years Data Bricks experience.


• Experience with Azure Cloud technologies.

Best VS. Average: Strong experience with Informatica, Autosys, and Azure is highly valued.

ETL expertise, particularly with Informatica, is a critical requirement and prioritized over banking industry experience.
