You’ll play a key role in creating an organized, efficient, and friendly environment that reflects VG Meats’ commitment to excellence.</p><p>Your main responsibilities include:</p><ul><li><p>Overseeing retail operations and supporting day-to-day leadership of the team.</p></li><li><p>Managing inventory, ordering, and supplier relationships for both wholesale and retail.</p></li><li><p>Merchandising — ensuring our displays are full, fresh, and inviting.</p></li><li><p>Providing <strong>exceptional customer service</strong> and helping the team do the same.</p></li><li><p>Leading the production crew — from meat cutters to prepared foods staff — to keep everything running smoothly.</p></li><li><p>Maintaining a clean, safe, and fully stocked store that customers love to shop in.</p></li><li><p>Understanding the financial levers that drive store performance and helping the team hit its goals.</p></li><li><p>Ensuring full compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health & safety standards.</p></li></ul><hr /><strong>What You Bring</strong><ul><li><p>A <strong>high school diploma</strong> (required); post-secondary in culinary arts or butchery is a strong asset.</p></li><li><p><strong>Supervisory experience</strong> with a proven ability to motivate and lead a team.</p></li><li><p>A strong understanding of food, retail, and customer experience.</p></li><li><p>Comfort and skill with knives, saws, grinders, slicers, and other meat-cutting tools.</p></li><li><p><strong>Excellent communication and organization skills.</strong></p></li><li><p>Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Suite.</p></li><li><p>A team-first mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment.</p></li><li><p>Physical ability to stand, bend, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in a cold environment.</p></li><li><p>Food Handler’s and First Aid Certificates are an asset.</p></li><li><p>Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.</p></li></ul><hr /><strong>About Us – Harvest to Gather (Olliffe, Rowe Farms, VG Meats)</strong><p>Harvest to Gather is a fourth-generation family of businesses dedicated to producing and sharing <strong>high-quality, healthy foods through regenerative farming practices</strong>.
