Our diverse team includes digital strategists, media practitioners, technologists and data scientists delivering award-winning work and inclusive remote-first culture.</p><p><strong>Associate Media Director (AMD)</strong> is a client-facing people & excellence leader who oversees strategic and holistic media activation, optimization, and buying for a team of Media Managers across Programmatic, Search, Social, and Ad Ops, and for a portfolio of clients. The AMD is accountable for overall campaign delivery, development and execution of media activation strategies, data-driven targeting, and alignment with the client’s business goals. The role also includes people leadership, managing high-value client relationships, cross-functional collaboration, and thought leadership in the media industry.</p><h3>What You Will Do</h3><p><em>Strategic Media Activation:</em></p><ul><li>Oversee and review Media Managers' strategic media activation planning and buying across multiple channels for a portfolio of clients, ensuring high-quality campaigns that meet client objectives and performance metrics.</li><li>Maximize return on investment by ensuring that media implementation and activation strategies, including budget allocation and audience optimization, are strategically aligned with the consumer journey and supported by insights.</li><li>Utilize client and proprietary data to enhance targeting, provide insights, and maximize campaign performance.</li><li>Demonstrate alignment with the communication strategy and client's business goals in decision-making.</li><li>Ensure selection of platforms, publishers, and channels based on analysis of capabilities and desired client outcomes.</li><li>Manage and mentor a team of media managers, providing guidance, support, and accountability to high performance standards.</li><li>Train, motivate, grow, and evaluate team members, ensuring adherence to best practices.</li><li>Maintain workflow control and prioritize team responsibilities, address issues, and determine staffing needs for appropriate allocation of personnel.</li><li>Support personal development through goal setting, accountability, and progress tracking.</li><li>Leverage existing expertise while building new capabilities for tomorrow.</li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand client needs and translate them into actionable media activation plans.</li><li>Provide senior-level strategic media activation leadership and maintain strong client relationships.</li><li>Ensure media activation plans exceed client objectives with thoughtful understanding of how strategic activation drives goals.</li><li>Maintain in-depth knowledge of each client’s business context.</li><li>Participate in New Business efforts and presentations as appropriate.</li></ul><p><em>Cross-functional Collaboration:</em></p><ul><li>Collaborate with Strategy, Planning, BD, and CX to develop strategic media plans with maximum impact.</li><li>Work with Strategy/Planning on channel optimizations and beta/test opportunities, ensuring alignment with senior planning peers.</li><li>Coordinate with Investment on channel best practices and client needs.</li></ul><p><em>Thought-Leadership:</em></p><ul><li>Provide thought leadership by staying current with media industry trends and opportunities to improve campaign performance.</li><li>Explain the strategic benefits of investment and activation choices across inventory, platforms, and channels.</li><li>Manage relationships with media vendors/publishers and negotiate rates for client value where relevant.</li><li>Encourage calculated risks and innovative initiatives grounded in the communication strategy.</li></ul><h3>What You Bring</h3><ul><li>8+ years of experience in media with a proven track record of delivering results for clients.</li><li>Skilled in analyzing platforms, publishers, and channels to select optimal options for client outcomes.</li><li>Experience overseeing flawless execution of campaigns across all channels that meet client objectives and performance metrics.</li><li>Ability to develop and execute strategic media activation plans across multiple channels.</li><li>Ability to manage and mentor a team of media managers, ensuring adherence to performance standards and best practices.</li><li>Proficiency in maintaining workflow control, assigning responsibilities, and addressing issues.</li><li>Skill in supporting team members' personal development through goal setting, accountability, and progress tracking.</li><li>Skill in maintaining strong client relationships and providing senior-level strategic media activation leadership.</li></ul><p>We value inclusivity and encourage applications from everyone, regardless of race, creed, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, marital status, citizen status, age, disability, military or protected veteran status, or any other legally protected status.</p></p>
