<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p><p><strong>Please note the location of this position must be based in or around the Calgary area.</strong></p><p><strong>Business Development Manager (Calgary)</strong></p><p>The ARAG Group, a global leader in legal expense insurance operating in 20 countries offers an innovative and comprehensive range of legal expense products and services for brokers, underwriting agents and insurers across Canada. </p><p>As part of our strategy to expand and strengthen our presence across Canada, we are looking for a <strong>Business Development Manager</strong> in Calgary. This role is for a current vacancy.</p><p>Reporting to the Director of Broker Partnerships, the <strong>Business Development Manager</strong> will be responsible for growing existing business portfolios in the legal expense insurance market in Canada while managing relationships with clients, brokers, and partners. </p><p><strong>What Will You Do?</strong></p><ul><li>Direct development of existing client relationships through targeted prospecting and sales programs including marketing activities to acquire new customers and sales opportunities</li><li>Identify and build profitable legal insurance business within the broker distribution channel</li><li>Effectively onboard new programs and provide exceptional ongoing care to your existing portfolio</li><li>Actively collaborate with internal departments, peers and colleagues to leverage areas of expertise that will enhance relationships with our broker partner’s and support their business growth</li><li>Drive awareness by delivering compelling presentations and providing information to new and existing brokers, associations, and other opportunities</li><li>Monitoring industry trends to identify and develop new sales and business opportunities</li><li>Travel and attendance at various industry and networking events required</li></ul><p><strong>About You:</strong></p><ul><li>Self-directed, energetic, and proven track record of achieving targets and building sustained relationships</li><li>University/College graduate with 3-5 years of P&C insurance industry experience</li><li>Level I or II General Insurance Licence</li><li>Valid driver’s license</li><li>Technologically proficient with MS Office and Customer Management Systems (CRMs)</li></ul><p><strong>We Offer:</strong></p><ul><li>Competitive Base Salary including annual bonus plan</li><li>Generous Employer Paid Benefits Plan, including RSP matching & Fitness Credit</li><li>This position will be 100% remote with expectations of travelling within the province and to our Toronto office as required.</li></ul><p>For more information about ARAG Canada please visit: www.arag.ca/en/</p><p>We are an Equal Opportunity Employer</p><p>ARAG Legal Solutions Inc., are proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and employer.
