<b>Business Systems Analyst (Actuarial)<br></b><br>

<b>Responsibilities:</b><b><br></b>
<br>
<br>• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements across actuarial and data teams.<br>
<br>• Serve as a liaison between business users and technical developers to align systems with strategic goals.<br>
<br>• Work closely with actuaries to understand policies, products, and financial statements.<br>
<br>• Support a large-scale data warehousing environment and contribute to migration to a data lake architecture.<br>
<br>• Run SQL queries and perform data profiling to validate data accuracy and usability.<br>
<br>• Prepare cost-benefit and ROI analyses for system implementations.<br>
<br>• Translate complex business requirements into actionable technical specifications.<br>
<br>• Handle multiple projects and support highly complex business processes.<br>
<br>• Ensure high-quality documentation, including business requirement documents and source-to-target mapping.<br>
<br>• Work with JIRA to manage requirements and streamline development cycles.<br>
<br>• Collaborate with reporting teams and support data visualization efforts in Power BI.<br>
<br>• Contribute to process improvements that enhance system functionality and user experience.<br>
<br>• Support onboarding of new team members and help evolve the business analysis practice into a more agile framework.<br>
<br>
<b>What you will need to succeed:<br></b>
<br>
<br>• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field.<br>
<br>• MBA or other advanced degree is an asset.<br>
<br>• 10 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst.<br>
<br>• 2 years of actuarial experience in an enterprise environment.<br>
<br>• 5 years of hands-on experience with SQL.<br>
<br>• Strong knowledge of data warehousing concepts and principles (minimum 5 years).<br>
<br>• Basic understanding of programming languages for code comprehension.<br>
<br>• Strong analytical skills and ability to solve complex technical problems.<br>
<br>• Experience creating competitive business solutions through technology.<br>
<br>• Excellent project management and organizational skills to manage concurrent projects.<br>
<br>• Effective communicator with strong interpersonal and documentation skills.<br>
<br>• Proven ability to interpret ambiguous requirements and deliver structured solutions.<br>
<br>• Experience working in a hybrid work environment with global teams is preferred.<br>
