Our dedicated team creates a welcoming, safe and engaging environment where residents enjoy outings, social programs and meaningful connections.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li><p>Safely operate the community bus to transport residents to outings, shopping trips and off-site events</p></li><li><p>Assist residents with boarding and disembarking, including those using walkers, wheelchairs or other mobility aids</p></li><li><p>Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any maintenance/safety concerns</p></li><li><p>Ensure the vehicle is clean, tidy and presentable for residents</p></li><li><p>Follow designated routes, adhere to time schedules, and adjust as needed for resident needs or traffic conditions</p></li><li><p>Maintain clear communication with residents, staff and families; demonstrate patience, respect and a positive attitude</p></li><li><p>Uphold all relevant safety regulations, traffic laws and senior-living community standards</p></li></ul><p><strong>Required Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li><p>Valid <strong>Class 4 Unrestricted BC Driver’s License</strong> for bus/ passenger transport in British Columbia. </p></li><li><p>Clean driver’s abstract (no more than one violation in the past 2 years, or as otherwise defined by our insurance provider)</p></li><li><p>Weekend availability and flexibility for occasional evenings or special outings</p></li><li><p>Demonstrated professionalism, strong communication skills and ability to work with older adults</p></li><li><p>Physical fitness/ability to assist residents getting on/off the bus, support mobility aids as necessary</p></li><li><p>Willingness to complete a <strong>Criminal Record Check</strong> with Vulnerable Sector Search (required when working with seniors)</p></li></ul><p><strong><span >Preferred/Additional</span> Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li><p>At least 1 year of professional driving experience, ideally in a senior-living, healthcare or residential transport environment</p></li><li><p>Current First Aid/CPR certification</p></li><li><p>Experience or training in assisting older adults or people with mobility limitations</p></li><li><p>Strong customer service mentality and ability to remain calm under pressure</p></li><li><p>Familiarity with safety procedures for senior transportation, including wheelchair securement, safe <span >boarding/disembarkation,</span> etc.</p></li></ul><p><strong>Why Join Us:</strong></p><ul><li><p>Meaningful and rewarding role enabling seniors to stay active, engaged and connected with their community</p></li><li><p>Casual schedule—great for those seeking flexibility or supplementary income</p></li><li><p>Supportive team environment with a focus on wellness, respect and resident-first service</p></li></ul><p>Powered by JazzHR</p><p>XBWOQ4GuMR</p></p></p>Create Your Resume First
