<p>Child and Youth Workers - School, Family and Community contracts</p><p>Private Practice Opportunity: Bartimaeus is looking for Behaviour Specialists for private practice, contract-based work with children, adolescents, and/or adults with challenging behaviours, in a variety of settings - in a client's home, in the community, hospital/healthcare environment, the developmental sector, residential & day programs, and educational settings.</p><p>Qualifications:</p><p>When submitting your cover letter and resume, please highlight and address the following:</p><p>· Your education level – university degree/college diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution in a related field (eg. CYW, CYC, DSW, SSW)</p><p>· A minimum of 5 years of full-time experience in managing challenging and disruptive behaviour, working with individuals in residential, non-residential, child welfare, community, hospital, school and other settings.</p><p>· Please highlight your work experience in mental health, as well as any experience working with individuals of all ages with developmental challenges, dual diagnosis, FASD, Autism, and other.</p><p>· Current First aid/CPR certificate</p><p>· Current Vulnerable Sector Police Check</p><p>· Ministry-approved Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Training (UMAB, CPI, other)</p><p>· Strong verbal and written communication skills</p><p>· Fully Vaccinated and boosted against COVID-19 with an approved vaccine</p><p>Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Fixed term contract, Casual</p><p>Pay: $28.00-$31.00 per hour</p><p>Benefits:</p><ul><li>Casual dress</li><li>Flexible schedule</li></ul><p>Experience:</p><ul><li>working with individuals with challenging behaviours: 5 years (required)</li></ul><p>Licence/Certification:</p><ul><li>First Aid Certification (preferred)</li><li>vulnerable sector background check (preferred)</li><li>NVCI (preferred)</li></ul><p>Work Location: In person</p>
