The nature of the projects varies from Waterfall to Agile and technology varies from legacy to cutting edge. They are involved throughout the project lifecycle by capturing and documenting requirements, test strategy/plans, test cases, execution of testing, sign off and implementation into production. They are supported by team members and the Practice Manager.  </p><p>This position does not have any direct reports.  </p><p><strong>Major areas of Responsibility </strong></p><ul><li><p>Deliver excellence and develop a deep, multilayered understanding of the business issues and the data challenges of the clients’ organizations and their industries. </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Ensure requirements are clear and complete, eliminating uncertainties and ambiguities. </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Establish the quality of solutions through validation against the requirements. </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Demonstrate collegial teamwork internally and with clients, by communicating clearly with all project team members to identify and resolve issues for successful delivery. </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Escalate issues promptly when required. </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Participate in the development of project plans to establish appropriate workload expectations and schedules. </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Own the responsibility to meet deadlines and strive to complete work in accordance with project plans. </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Drive and own requirements by gathering all requirements that are a part of the overall project. </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Create detailed, functional, and non-functional requirements documents, review and obtain sign off from key stakeholders. </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Provide ongoing updates and review throughout the project lifestyle. </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Create and execute test strategy/plans and test cases. </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Own defect management and drive regression testing if required. </p></li></ul><p><strong>Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other </strong></p><ul><li><p>Around 3-5 years’ experience on technical projects including 3 as a Business Systems Analyst </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Detailed, practical working knowledge in SDLC methodologies, specifically Agile and Waterfall </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Experience working with databases, data warehouses, ETLs, analytics and reporting </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Experience in SQL, Teradata, or Oracle </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>General Knowledge in Analytics / Business Intelligence tools (MicroStrategy, Tableau, Cognos, Looker) and Cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure) or Big Data (Hadoop, Hive, Impala) </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Demonstrated skills in Documenting requirements e.g. BRD, SRS, Test Documents, MOP, Data Mapping, or Data Dictionaries </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Collaborating with internal teams (Project X ltd.), external teams (non-Project X 3rd parties), and client team members </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Critical thinking capabilities and a consultative mindset </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Bachelor&#39;s Degree, preferably in Software or Computer <span >Science/Engineering</span> fields or related industry experience or acumen </p></li></ul><p><strong>Nice to have: </strong></p><ul><li><p>Prior experience as a Data Analyst is an asset but please ensure you have BA experience</p></li></ul><p>Powered by JazzHR</p><p>hxnlVafXuO</p></p></p>
