<p><h3>Job Overview</h3><p>We are seeking a skilled Dentist to join our dental practice in a very unique environment. The Dentist will be responsible for providing and coordinating essential dental services to inmates in a correctional setting. The role involves delivering primary dental care, including x-rays and health promotion, in compliance with federal legislation, provincial standards and policies. The Dentist must collaborate with the institution's multi-disciplinary health services team and ensure continuity and integration of care, including coordination with external dental specialists. The ideal candidate will have a background in general dentistry and a passion for providing exceptional patient care.</p><h3>Duties</h3><ul><li>Provide primary dental care and health promotion.</li><li>Prepare clinic lists and triage appointment schedules.</li><li>Manage all aspects of dental care services.</li><li>Approve recommendations from external dental providers.</li><li>Document assessments, treatments, and consultations.</li><li>Consult with Medical Team on equipment and supplies.</li><li>Supervise Dental Assistant</li><li>Participate in grievance / investigation processes as needed.</li><li>Contribute to quality improvement initiatives.</li><li>Work with DA to ensure compliance with sterilization standards and documentation protocols.</li></ul><h3>Requirements</h3><ul><li>Licensed to practice dentistry in Ontario.</li><li>Minimum 6 months of recent experience as a practicing dentist.</li><li>Fluent in English.</li><li>Ability to obtain a government clearance</li></ul><p>Join our dedicated team of professionals committed to delivering much needed dental care in this unique environment</p><h3>Job Details</h3><ul><li>Job Types: Part-time, Fixed term contract, Casual</li><li>Contract length: 36 months</li><li>Pay: $175.00-$195.00 per hour</li><li>Expected hours: No more than 6 per week</li></ul><h3>Benefits</h3><ul><li>Casual dress</li><li>Flexible schedule</li><li>On-site parking</li></ul><h3>Licence / Certification</h3><ul><li>License to practice dentistry in Ontario (required)</li></ul><p>Work Location: In person</p></p>#J-18808-Ljbffr
