Your Opportunity Dillon’s Data Integration Services Practice is looking for a Discipline Lead to fill an existing vacancy within our multidisciplinary team of professionals. You will work on new and exciting projects while providing clients with a fully integrated and superior customer experience. You will be a driving force in our continued growth and success across Canada, leading a talented team of technical experts and fostering a culture of innovation to keep us at the forefront of geospatial and data analytics services.
The successful candidate can be based at any of our offices: Calgary, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Saint John, Fredericton, Halifax, Sydney, St John’s, Yellowknife. We offer flexible work hours to help balance work and personal life.
Responsibilities
Technical Leadership & Innovation
- Maintain deep technical expertise and stay current with industry trends and best practices in geospatial and data analytics services.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance the Discipline's technical skills.
- Drive the integration of new technologies to improve internal processes and reduce costs.
- Deliver significant innovation projects with supporting business cases and success metrics.
- Encourage the use of new solutions and showcase successful efficiency improvements.
People & Team Development
- Lead and motivate a team of technical professionals, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.
- Support the growth and development of Team Managers.
- Promote a culture of innovation, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Project Managers, Business Units, and key industry contacts.
Delivery & Operational Excellence
- Meet or exceed financial targets while ensuring high-quality service and client satisfaction.
- Develop and implement operational standards, best practices, and quality control processes to mitigate risk.
- Proactively identify and manage health and safety risks.
- Actively solicit and act on client feedback to improve service delivery.
- Identify and pursue opportunities for organic business growth.
Qualifications
- 10 or more years of relevant experience.
- A degree in Computer Science, Science, Engineering, GIS, Data Analytics, or a related discipline.
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is considered an asset.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in a Consulting Environment.
- A minimum of 10 years of Project Management experience specifically in GIS & Data Analytics.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- A passion for innovation, an aptitude for leveraging technology and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Experience
- Proven leadership experience in managing and developing high-performing teams.
- Deep understanding of the geospatial and data analytics markets, including current trends, challenges, and opportunities.
- Strong business development acumen, with a successful track record of identifying, pursuing, and winning new business opportunities in the market.
- Demonstrated project management expertise through planning and managing projects of increasing size and complexity, from initiation through evaluation.
