Job Description
<p><p>Reporting to the VP Regional Sales for Western Canada, the External Wholesaler is accountable for the development and implementation of a strategy that establishes Manulife Investments in our sales channels. Dealing directly with Financial Advisors, they will be responsible for promoting all products within Investments as well as providing a solution based method to selling.</p><p>Success will be measured through the establishment of new sales in Manulife Investment products. Building new relationships as well as solidifying existing ones will also be key.</p>
<h3>Position Responsibilities</h3>
<ul>
<li>Achieve daring sales targets and annual production goals.</li>
<li>Identify and pursue new relationships within the Financial Advisor network.</li>
<li>Provide new insights to advisors to help them develop business.</li>
<li>Give advisor and investor seminars.</li>
<li>Work with the internal wholesaler and territory coordinator to develop new sales.</li>
<li>Develop effective and professional working relationships with other Manulife field partners including representatives from Manulife Investments, Professional Services Team and key partners in all Business Divisions.</li>
<li>Maintain agreed upon levels of virtual and face to face contact with the Advisors in the region and record daily activities using the current contact management system.</li>
<li>Develop and share ongoing standard methodologies, sales, marketing and business development ideas and strategies with peers and Advisors.</li>
</ul>

<li>5+ years Investment Sales experience with extensive and detailed knowledge of Financial Services industry and capital markets.</li>
<li>Participation in the sale of Investment Products through one or more of the following: MFDA, Select Non-Bank IIROC.</li>
<li>In-depth knowledge of mutual fund, ETF, and SMA platforms.</li>
<li>Successful completion of IFIC mutual funds course or CSC preferred</li>
<li>Ambitious and highly organized.</li>
</ul>
