About Company:
Key Responsibilities:
- Order Fulfillment: Accurately pick, pack, and state customer orders using RF scanners.
- Receiving & Sorting: Unload incoming shipments, verify contents against packing slips and report and discrepancies or damages.
- Inventory Control: Perform regular cycle counts and ensure items are stored in their designated "home" locations.
- Equipment Operation: Safely operate manual/electric pallet jacks. (Forklift/Reach truck operation if certified).
- Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all Ontario Occupational and Safety Act (OHSA) regulations, including the use of required PPE (Steel-toe boots, high-vis vest, Hard hat).
- Facility Upkeep: Mantain a clean and organized workspace to prevent "slips, trips, and falls" as per Ministry of Labour guidelines.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for 8-10 hours and lift up to 50 lbs (23 kg) repeatedly.
- Tech Savvy: Comfortable using handheld scanners, tablets, or warehouse software.
- Compliance: WHMIS certification (often provided during onboarding).
- Language: Proficient in English (written and verbal) to follow safety signage and SOPs.
- Certifications: Valid Forklift Certification (Counterbalance, Raymond Reach, or Order Picker) is a strong asset.
Work Environment:
- Fast-paced, high-volume distribution center.
- Shift work may include mornings, afternoons, or "continental" night shifts.
