Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Renovator to join our construction and restoration team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various aspects of building renovation, including carpentry, masonry, electrical work, and finishing. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects that require technical expertise and craftsmanship. The Renovator will be responsible for executing renovation tasks efficiently while adhering to safety standards and project specifications.
Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to accurately execute renovation plans
- Operate hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment, and specialized machinery safely and effectively
- Perform construction activities such as framing, drywall installation, caulking, painting, flooring installation, tile laying, and cabinet installation
- Execute concrete forming, finishing, and masonry work with precision
- Conduct plumbing and electrical tasks in accordance with industry standards and codes
- Estimate project costs and materials required for renovation projects
- Assist in restoration projects including structural repairs and surface refinishing
- Apply construction painting techniques to enhance aesthetic appeal
- Utilize welding skills for metalwork repairs or modifications as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure safety and efficiency
Skills
- Proficiency in blueprint reading, schematics, and construction estimating
- Strong knowledge of carpentry, masonry, electrical systems, plumbing, and concrete work
- Experience with tile laying, flooring installation, cabinetry, and restoration techniques
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and effectively
- Skilled in the use of hand tools and power tools relevant to construction and renovation tasks
- Knowledge of caulking techniques for sealing joints and surfaces
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on quality workmanship
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and clients
- Physical stamina to perform demanding tasks in various environments
