This role is ideal for a professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and brings a balance of strong administrative skills, knowledge of Ontario employment law, and exceptional communication abilities. The HR Generalist will be instrumental in supporting day-to-day HR operations, providing guidance to staff and managers, and ensuring compliance with both internal policies and legislative requirements.<br><br>This position is based in Markham, Ontario, with a hybrid work model available after 6 months (2 days work from home, 3 days in office).</p><p>Key Responsibilities</p><ul><li>Employee Lifecycle Support: Administer onboarding, offboarding, and day-to-day HR processes with accuracy and professionalism.</li><li>Recruitment & Selection: Manage job postings, conduct resume screening, coordinate interviews, and support hiring managers in making informed decisions.</li><li>HR Systems Management: Maintain employee records and workflows in ADP Workforce Now and BambooHR, ensuring data integrity and seamless integration.</li><li>Documentation & Communication: Draft professional HR letters, memos, and policy updates with clarity and precision.</li><li>Compliance & Legislation: Provide guidance on Ontarios Employment Standards Act (ESA) and other employment legislation, ensuring compliance in all HR practices.</li><li>Employee Relations: Act as a point of contact for employee inquiries, offering support on HR policies, wellness, and workplace culture.</li><li>Administration: Support payroll and benefits processes in collaboration with the HR and Finance teams.</li><li>Reporting: Develop and maintain advanced Excel reports for HR metrics, payroll summaries, and workforce analytics to support decision-making.</li><li>Projects: Assist with HR initiatives such as performance management, engagement surveys, and training rollouts.</li></ul><p>Qualifications</p><ul><li>Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.</li><li>3+ years of HR experience, preferably in a multi-site or <span >childcare/education</span> environment.</li><li>Strong working knowledge of Ontario employment legislation (ESA, Human Rights Code, etc.).</li><li>Hands-on experience with ADP Workforce Now and BambooHR is required.</li><li>Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.</li><li>Proven ability to draft professional correspondence and HR documentation.</li><li>Advanced proficiency in Excel with demonstrated ability to create, analyze, and present HR and payroll reports.</li><li>Highly organized with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.</li><li>Professionalism, discretion, and ability to handle confidential information.</li><li>CHRP designation (or working towards it) considered an asset.</li></ul><p>Compensation & Benefits</p><ul><li>Salary range: $65,000 $70,000 annually</li><li>8 paid wellness days in addition to statutory holidays</li><li>2 weeks paid vacation annually</li><li>Comprehensive benefits package</li><li>Opportunities for professional growth and development within the Foray Group</li></ul><p>Why Join CFEL & Foray Group?</p><ul><li>Be part of an organization with over five decades of excellence in early learning and community impact.</li><li>Work within a values-driven culture: integrity, collaboration, growth, engagement, excellence and impact.</li><li>Make a meaningful difference by supporting the educators who shape the lives of children and families every day.</li></ul></p></p>Create Your Resume First
