<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p><p>Our client is a prominent player in industrial and commercial electrical infrastructure services industry and is looking for a HVAC technician in Mississauga, ON. The role will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems in commercial and industrial environments. You will ensure that all work is performed in accordance with applicable codes and standards, while providing superior quality service.</p><p><br /></p><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><p><br /></p><ul><li>Read and interpret plans, piping diagrams, and HVAC system schematics to determine the location and operation of installations.</li><li>Install, inspect, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems, including furnaces, boilers, heat pumps, air handling units, chillers, and other related components.</li><li>Test systems to check for leaks, pressure, proper operation, and energy efficiency.</li><li>Determine the layout of ductwork, piping, and connections, and install necessary supports.</li><li>Cut, weld, braze, and assemble various types of piping and ductwork used in HVAC systems.</li><li>Install, maintain, and repair control systems, thermostats, and safety devices for HVAC equipment.</li><li>Troubleshoot HVAC problems, locate refrigerant leaks, air flow obstructions, and system failures.</li><li>Perform preventive maintenance programs and maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance records.</li><li>Ensure compliance of installations with Quebec HVAC codes and current safety standards (e.g., Quebec Construction Code, CSA standards).</li><li>Collaborate effectively with project teams, other trades, and clients to ensure proper execution of work.</li></ul><p><br /></p><p><strong>Skills & Qualifications:</strong></p><p><br /></p><ul><li>Valid HVAC Technician Qualification Certificate (e.g., Certificate of Qualification in Refrigeration, Ventilation, Heating, and Air Conditioning).</li><li>DEP (Diploma of Vocational Studies) in Refrigeration, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning or equivalent relevant training.</li><li>Relevant experience as an HVAC technician in the commercial or industrial sector.</li><li>Excellent knowledge of current HVAC codes and standards</li><li>Ability to read and interpret technical plans and schematics.</li><li>Proficiency with tools and equipment specific to the HVAC trade (e.g., manifold gauges, vacuum pump, leak detector, specialized hand tools).</li><li>Autonomy, rigor, and attention to detail.</li><li>Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.</li><li>Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively.</li><li>Valid driver's license (an asset).</li></ul><p><br /></p><p><strong>About Us:</strong></p><p><br /></p><p>JP Recruitment specialize in technical positions in the engineering & manufacturing industries across Canada.
