Inside Sales Product Specialist - Industrial Automation & Instrumentation (Onsite)

Job Description

Davis Controls Ltd., a leading Canadian distributor in industrial automation and process instrumentation, is seeking a skilled Inside Sales Product Specialist to join our Oakville team. This role combines technical expertise with customer-focused sales to drive growth in automation solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide inside sales support for industrial automation and instrumentation products


• Advise clients on PLCs, HMIs, sensors, VFDs and other automation technologies


• Prepare quotations, proposals and pricing in the CRM system


• Conduct technical research to recommend optimal automation and instrumentation solutions


• Maintain strong customer relationships and follow up on quotes and orders


• Support cross‑selling of related products to maximize client solutions


• Act as liaison between customers and internal departments to resolve issues efficiently


• Stay current on new technologies, products and industry trends

Qualifications

• Degree in Electromechanical Engineering or related field


• 5+ years in technical inside sales, preferably in process automation or industrial instrumentation


• Strong knowledge of automation technologies (PLCs, HMIs, sensors, VFDs) and instrumentation (flowmeters, controllers, level & pressure measurement)


• Proficient in MS Office, ERP/CRM software and presentation tools


• Highly organized, detail oriented and able to manage multiple tasks independently
