As an Intermediate <span >Accountant/Bookkeeper,</span> you will manage all aspects of the company's financial transactions and bookkeeping duties. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and bookkeeping, excellent analytical skills, and be detail-oriented.</p><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Record and manage all financial transactions using accounting software such as QuickBooks</li><li>Prepare and process accounts payable and accounts receivable</li><li>Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions</li><li>Generate and maintain financial reports such as income statements, balance sheets, and general ledgers</li><li>Process payroll, including the calculation of payroll taxes and preparation of T4s</li><li>Process monthly and quarterly GST/HST returns</li><li>Manage the company's cash flow by monitoring and forecasting upcoming expenses and revenue</li><li>Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations</li><li>Provide financial analysis and recommendations to the management team</li></ul><p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p><ul><li>Diploma or degree in Accounting or Finance</li><li>Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting with bookkeeping responsibilities or a bookkeeping role</li><li>Strong knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices</li><li>Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel, MS Office; familiarity with accounting software, including Sage 300, is an asset.</li><li>Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written</li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team</li><li>Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills</li><li>Experience in a small to medium-sized business environment is preferred</li></ul><p>If you are an Intermediate <span >Accountant/Bookkeeper</span> with a proven track record of success and looking for a new opportunity with a leading organization specializing in developing safe and reliable systems for managing organic waste, we encourage you to apply for this exciting role in Surrey, British Columbia.
