Our clients include industry leading organizations who partner with us to be an extension of their HR & Recruitment function.</em></strong></p><p></p><p><strong>Position</strong>: Lab Technician</p><p><strong>Location: </strong>Orillia, ON </p><p><strong>Pay Rate: </strong>$29 per hour</p><p><strong>Industry: </strong>Manufacturing / Production / Foundry / Metallurgical</p><p><strong>Employment Term: </strong>Fulltime / Permanent</p><p><strong>Shift</strong>: Rotating Shift (Days, Afternoons and Overnights on a two-week rotation)</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>Roles & Responsibilities</strong>:</p><ul><li>Preparation of samples using a variety of abrasive saws, a pedestal grinder, and surface grinders</li><li>Maintain full product traceability as per ISO and department standards.</li><li>Evaluate chemical analysis results for compliance and specification.</li><li>Ensure compliance with quality standards in Lab activities.</li><li>Other related duties as assigned.</li></ul><p></p><p><strong>Qualifications & Experience</strong>:</p><ul><li>Post-secondary education in Chemical, Metallurgical engineering or a related field.</li><li>Certificates and/or training in Health and Safety or related courses a definite asset.</li><li>1-2 years of lab experience evaluating samples and/or chemical processing and preparing reports.</li><li>Laboratory experience with metals processing equipment a definite asset.</li><li>Able to work a rotating shift (days, afternoons and overnights on a two-week rotation).</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills.</li></ul><p></p><p><strong><em>Notes:</em></strong><em> We thank all candidates for their time.
