What The Law - Criminal Law Firm is a boutique criminal law firm located in Aurora, ON, serving clients across the Greater Toronto Area. This is a perfect opportunity for an entry-level job for those just entering into the field and looking to gain legal experience.
Role Description
-Draft retainers and manage new files that come into the firm (emails, disclosure requests, calendar entry, file creation and organization)
-Enter payments received and process credit card payments and organize monthly payment plans
-Initiate collection efforts to secure payments from existing clients
-Proactively provide reminders to existing clients for overdue invoices
-Assist lawyers and paralegals with administrative duties
-Work closely with firm manager and assist with email management, scheduling, calendar organization, mail merge and miscellaneous office duties and tasks
-Disclosure uploading and organization
Qualifications
-Experience in a legal setting is an asset
- Experience in a criminal law firm is an asset
-Graduate of a law clerk, paralegal and/or relevant legal program is not mandatory but an asset
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-Most have strong attention to detail and strong organizational skills and strong attention to detail to numbers
