Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have experience in meal preparation and a strong understanding of food handling and safety practices. This role is essential in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently, delivering high-quality dishes to our guests.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards.
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, slicing, and marinating.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations.
- Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the highest quality of food handling.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Help with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages.
- Participate in daily cleaning tasks, including washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces.
- Support the head chef with any additional tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment preferred.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in the kitchen.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
