In This Role, You Will

  • Manage and track inbound and outbound shipments using carrier portals, freight forwarder systems, and internal databases.
  • Resolve shipping delays, damages, and discrepancies.
  • Coordinate with purchasing, production, and sales to meet shipping timelines.
  • Support new initiatives and process improvements related to shipping.
  • Negotiate freight quotes to secure the best possible rates and service levels
  • Schedule and coordinate inbound and outbound shipments with customers and carriers.
  • Prepare and verify shipping documentation including bills of lading, packing slips, invoices, and customs paperwork.
  • Inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and damage.
  • Process outgoing shipments and ensure proper packaging and labelling.
  • Communicate with carriers regarding pickups, delivery schedules, and freight concerns.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in ERP systems.
  • Reconcile discrepancies between physical counts and system inventories.
  • Maintain organized filing systems for shipping and receiving documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and shipping regulations.
  • Follow workplace safety procedures and warehouse best practices.
  • Maintain clean and organized shipping/receiving areas.

Who You Are

  • An experienced logistics professional with a strong understanding of shipping, receiving, and freight coordination.
  • Detail‑oriented, with excellent accuracy in documentation and inventory tracking.
  • A strong communicator who works well with carriers, vendors, and cross‑functional teams.
  • Organized and proactive, able to manage multiple shipments and priorities simultaneously.
  • A problem solver who can investigate discrepancies and resolve issues in real time.
  • Results‑oriented, with a clear focus on delivering value to customers
  • Customer‑focused, building trust through responsiveness and follow‑through
  • Committed to safety and consistent with warehouse best practices.

What You Bring

  • A Diploma in Materials or Supply Chain Management preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • 1–3 years of experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse, or logistics coordination in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of logistics, distribution, shipping, freight forwarding, LTL, air/ground freight, and US/Canadian customs requirements.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Forklift license considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of HS tariff classification system considered an asset.
  • Experience with ERP or warehouse management systems considered an asset.
