We're committed to nurturing talent and providing growth opportunities in a dynamic environment where innovation shapes the future of nutritional health.</p><p><strong>Position Summary: </strong></p><p>The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine and preventive maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and supporting minor building renovations. This role works closely with operations staff and external contractors to ensure the facility and its systems operate efficiently and safely. Experience with building controls and HVAC systems is considered an asset.</p><p><strong>Responsibilities & Expectations: </strong></p><ul><li>Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on facility equipment and systems.</li><li>Handle minor building renovations and repairs, including carpentry, painting, and basic electrical or plumbing tasks.</li><li>Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and building system issues promptly to minimize downtime.</li><li>Coordinate and supervise contractors for specialized repairs or projects.</li><li>Work in close collaboration with operations staff to schedule maintenance without disrupting production.</li><li>Monitor and maintain building control systems (lighting, security, HVAC).</li><li>Assist in maintaining HVAC systems; experience in HVAC troubleshooting is an asset.</li><li>Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies during all maintenance activities.</li><li>Maintain accurate maintenance records and update work orders in the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).</li><li>Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance facility reliability and efficiency.</li></ul><p><strong>Desired Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in maintenance or related field preferred.</li><li>Minimum 3–5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.</li><li>Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and building systems.</li><li>Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.</li><li>Experience with building controls and HVAC systems is an asset.</li><li>Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.</li><li>Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.</li><li>Strong communication skills for coordinating with contractors and internal teams. </li></ul><p><strong>Physical Requirements:</strong></p><ul><li>Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.</li><li>Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.</li><li>Ability to stand, walk, and perform manual tasks for extended periods.</li></ul><p><strong>What Do We Offer?</strong></p><ul><li>Comprehensive Pension Plan</li><li>Extended Health Care</li><li>Dental Care</li><li>Paid Time Off</li><li>Career Growth Opportunities</li><li>Work-Life Balance</li><li>On-Site Parking</li></ul><p></p><p>#cooke-dnp</p><p></p><p></p></p></p></p>Create Your Resume First
