<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p><p>The Care Group (“TCG”) offers high-quality residential care services to complex care clients in 8 homes throughout the Lower Mainland and Vancouver Island.</p><p>At The Care Group, we believe our residents deserve excellence in care and we strive to achieve this by working as a team towards our common goal - a happy and healthy resident.</p><p><b>THE OPPORTUNITY</b></p><p>We are looking for Handyman/Woman Maintenance Worker to join our Sidney Care team in Sidney, B.C.</p><p><b>Shifts: 20-30 </b>hours per week. Flexible availability, sometimes on-call (emergency) so preferably to live close by.</p><p><b>QUALIFICATIONS:</b></p><p>1. Experience in building or facility maintenance.</p><p>2. Knowledge of and capability to complete tasks relating to general painting, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, and gardening.</p><p>3. Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.</p><p>4. COVID-19 Vaccine </p><p><b>SKILLS AND ABILITIES:</b></p><ul><li>Ability to maintain a checklist record of maintenance routines</li><li>Ability to communicate professionally with residents, staff, and visitors</li><li>Ability to lift up to 50lbs, move furniture, pick up deliveries from hardware stores</li><li>Must be physically fit, adaptable, and is an effective team member</li></ul><p><b>Duties:</b></p><ul><li>Inspects operating condition of all equipment daily.</li><li>Inspects alarm, call, and security systems and logs information daily.</li><li>Diagnoses equipment malfunctions</li><li>Ensures the safety of the building, equipment, staff, and residents.</li><li>Complete general repairs to electrical, plumbing, and other building components commensurate with the capabilities of an experienced maintenance trade person</li></ul><p><b>About us: </b></p><p>Sidney Care is located on Vancouver Island in sunny Sidney, BC and offers residential care to 54 clients.
