<p>PLEASE NOTE: This job opportunity prioritizes Regent Park TCHC tenants, however TCHC tenants from other communities are encouraged to apply</p><p>Job: Mechanical Design Intern</p><p>Job ID: REINEMI</p><p>Start Date: April 2025</p><p>Duration: 12-16 months 40 hours/week</p><p>Compensating: $20/hr</p><p>We are seeking a Mechanical Design Intern to join our Mechanical Design team. Understanding our staff's needs and providing support to make them feel like they're a valued member of our corporate family is our main goal in operating a successful business.</p><ul><li>Reporting to Mechanical Designer</li><li>Drafting of mechanical systems and components</li><li>Coordinating with the engineering team and other design teams</li><li>Transferring hand marked sketches of design drawings to AutoCAD</li><li>Maintaining and improving visual and functional standards of CAD drawings and final product</li><li>Performing load calculations using engineering software</li><li>Using Microsoft Excel to assist in various engineering calculations</li><li>Assisting mechanical designers in various design duties</li><li><p>Supporting the engineering team's analysis, evaluations, designs, and implementation</p></li><li><p>Currently Completing a Mechanical Engineering Technologist diploma/degree or equivalent</p></li><li>Basic of proficiency in MS Office and AutoCAD; REVIT considered an asset</li><li>Ability to work both independently with little supervision and in a team environment</li><li>Attention to detail</li><li>Strong problem-solving skills and initiative</li><li>Commitment to ongoing professional growth</li></ul><p>Please email and include:</p><ul><li><p>Cover letter indicating the Job Position you are applying for</p></li><li><p>CV/Resume</p></li></ul><p>You will be asked to confirm your TCHC tenancy prior to interviewing</p><p>Job Type: Internship / Co-op<br><br>Contract length: 12 months</p><p>Pay: $20.00 per hour</p><p>Expected hours: 40 per week</p><p>Work Location: In person</p>
