One to One Support Worker

<p>Job Description:</p><ul><li>Provide 1:1 support for a particpant</li><li>Provide toileting needs including diapering</li><li>Aid participant into the integration of activities</li><li>Transferring participant as needed</li><li>Maintain safety and security of participant</li><li>Ensure that a 1:1 ratio is kept at all times</li><li>Always maintain an open dialogue with parents, guardians and co workers</li><li>Complete all paperwork (incident reports, behavioural logs, communication logs, etc.) as required</li><li>Adhere to confidentiality agreements</li><li>Prep materials required for daily programming</li></ul><p>Administrative Duties:</p><ul><li>Ensure the appropriate paperwork is completed</li><li>Work on Progress Reports and Participant Goals</li></ul><p>Expectations:</p><ul><li>Attend all scheduled staff meetings and debriefings</li><li>Arrive on time for your shifts and clock in accordingly</li><li>Give as much notice as possible if unable to make a shift and notify the Director</li><li>Come dressed in comfortable, appropriate staff attire</li><li>Remain calm and professional when dealing with parents, guardians and members of the public</li></ul><p>MUST Love:</p><ul><li>Being busy and on-the-go</li><li>Working in a fast paced, team environment</li><li>Building a personalized rapport with your client</li></ul><p>Job Type: Part-time</p><p>Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour</p><p>Expected hours: 6 – 30 per week</p><p>Benefits:</p><ul><li>Dental care</li><li>Extended health care</li><li>Flexible schedule</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>On-site parking</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Vision care</li></ul><p>Application question(s):</p><ul><li>What would you bring to this position?</li></ul><p>Education:</p><ul><li>Secondary School (required)</li></ul><p>Experience:</p><ul><li>special needs: 2 years (required)</li><li>Caregiving: 1 year (preferred)</li></ul><p>Work Location: In person</p>
