Job Title: Contractor Sales Representative
Location: Lower Mainland, Burnaby, BC
Compensation: $75,000–$85,000 base + commission + car allowance + full benefits + vacation
About the Role
Our client is a well-established supplier in the lumber and building materials space, serving residential and multi-family builders throughout the Lower Mainland. They are looking to add a true hunter to their team, someone who thrives on building relationships, opening doors, and growing a territory.
This role will focus on selling formwork, engineered wood products (EWP), and lumber packages into residential and multi-family projects. You will start with a small book of business, but the expectation is that you grow and develop your own portfolio through active prospecting, site visits, and relationship-building.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Prospecting and developing new contractor, builder, and developer relationships
- Growing a territory through consistent outbound activity and in-person visits
- Selling formwork, EWP, and lumber packages into residential and multi-family projects
- Reviewing plans, doing basic takeoffs, and working with internal teams on pricing and packages
- Managing projects from quote through delivery and completion
- Acting as a trusted advisor to customers, not just a salesperson
- Attending site meetings, coordinating with operations, and solving problems as they come up
- Building long-term client loyalty and repeat business
- Experience in contractor sales within the lumber and building materials industry
- Comfortable selling into residential and multi-family construction
- A true hunter mindset — you enjoy prospecting, opening new accounts, and growing a book
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills
- Ability to read plans, understand basic takeoffs, and speak the builder’s language
- Organized, self-motivated, and able to manage your own territory
- Valid driver’s license and comfortable being on the road
- Competitive base salary ($75K–$85K) plus uncapped commission
