We are ideally seeking a Level 3 or Level 4 Technician with heavy emphasis on generator expertise. Exceptional Level 2 candidates who are very close to Level 3, with outstanding attitude, knowledge, skills, and proven generator paralleling experience will also be considered. Location: Calgary, AB. You will use your expertise to perform maintenance and complex repairs on a wide range of power and HVAC equipment, with a critical focus on generators, paralleling systems, electrical distribution, chillers, air conditioning, and boilers. Working with a high degree of independent judgment, you&#39;ll complete tasks safely and professionally while delivering exceptional customer service. Ambitious techs will have clear pathways to advance into leadership roles within the service department.</p><p>What you&#39;ll do:</p><ul><li>Perform maintenance and repair of complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, gas, diesel, and HVAC systems on rental and customer equipment, using schematics and diagnostic tools without supervision</li><li>Diagnose and “field repair” equipment independently, including expert-level generator paralleling, synchronization, and troubleshooting</li><li>Travel to customer job sites when required for on-site <span >repairs/maintenance</span>; maintain a clean, professional service vehicle</li><li>Assist in training and mentoring lower-level technicians</li><li>Complete electronic paperwork/work orders daily in a timely and accurate manner</li><li>Support pick-up and delivery of equipment and parts as needed</li><li>Other duties as assigned</li></ul><p>Requirements:</p><ul><li>High School diploma or equivalent</li><li>Valid driver&#39;s license with acceptable driving record</li><li>5+ years of experience <span >repairing/maintaining</span> vehicles, equipment, and tools in a shop or field environment</li><li>Journeyman Electrical license/experience and/or Heavy Duty (HD) Mechanic <span >certification/knowledge</span></li><li>Expert-level expertise in generators and paralleling systems (absolutely critical – must know "everything" about generators, including breakers, connections, engines, synchronization, and load sharing)</li><li>Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair a broad range of power/HVAC equipment, including:</li><ul><li>Generators (diesel engines 35–2200 hp, paralleling setups)</li><li>Chillers (air-cooled)</li><li>Air conditioning units (10–50 tons)</li><li>Boilers</li><li>Pump ends (centrifugal, hydraulic, electric)</li><li>Desiccant dehumidifiers (500–1,500 cfm)</li><li>Electrical distribution equipment</li></ul><li>Advanced understanding of schematics and diagnostic programs</li><li>Expert-level diagnostic and repair skills for mechanical, hydraulic, diesel, pneumatic, electrical, and other systems</li><li>Extensive overall equipment knowledge</li><li>Must own tools applicable to the position</li><li>Demonstrated leadership potential and ability to guide others</li><li>Superior customer service, teamwork, and verbal/written communication skills</li><li>Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs</li></ul><ul><li>Professional attitude, work ethic, reliable, trustworthy, honest with customers</li></ul><p></p><p>This position is deemed Safety Sensitive.
