<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p><p><strong>Amsted Automotive, London, Ontario,</strong> is looking for a <strong>Press operator (Afternoon and Midnight shift) </strong>capable of operating all production and related equipment in the department, consistently meeting quality, safety, and production expectations. </p><p>Schedule of work is straight time with shift premium: Afternoon shift - 3:00pm - 11:00pm, Midnights - 11:00 pm - 7:00 am</p><p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Operate the stamping press coil feeder and automated transfer operation</li><li>Perform tooling setup and machine changeovers </li><li>Packing and labelling the product</li><li>Conducting preventative maintenance on press and scrap systems as scheduled</li><li>Measuring parts using CMM and gauging as required</li><li>Visual inspection of parts for good quality and report any non-conformances to Quality representative or immediate Area Leader</li><li>Oversee load set and transfer system to ensure smooth flow of part production and early detection of potential issues including mis-hits</li><li>Receiving and the storage of steel coils</li><li>Prepare and communicate various reports as required or requested</li><li>Report safety hazards and conduct pre-start inspections as required</li><li>Promote the company’s operational visions, values, goals and behaviors</li><li>Participate in company programs including G&O, 5S, Kaizen, meetings, training, etc.</li><li>Conduct all work activities in a manner that is supportive of team effort</li><li>Adherence to all policies, procedures and regulations</li><li>Participate in the company’s health, safety, environmental, and operational programs</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager, or his/her designate</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Completion of high school</li><li>Minimum 2-3 years relevant work experience</li><li>Experience in die set up preferred</li><li>Forklift License required</li><li>Overhead Crane License required</li><li>Experience in automotive, press stamping and/ or manufacturing environment </li></ul><p><strong>WHAT YOU&#39;LL NEED TO SUCCEED</strong></p><ul><li>Passion for mechanics and openness to learn</li><li>Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision</li><li>Reliable transportation needed</li><li><strong>Straight shifts: Day 7:00am-3:00pm, Afternoon 3:00pm-11:00pm, Midnight 11:00pm-7:00am<br /></strong></li></ul><p><strong>WHAT&#39;S IN IT FOR YOU?</strong></p><ul><li>$22.0 / hour + shift premium</li><li>Shift Premiums for Afternoons & Midnights</li><li>8 hour shifts</li><li>Overtime after 40 hours</li><li>Vacation – 13 days, plus 3 floater days</li><li>Company paid uniform</li><li>Reimbursement for Work Boot and Safety Glasses</li><li>Continuous training and professional development</li><li>Opportunity to work in a growing company</li><li>Corporate behaviours that promote respect, listening, trust, integrity, creativity, innovation, and teamwork</li><li>Health, Dental, Vision and Extended benefits</li><li>RRSP up to 5%</li><li>Bonus</li></ul><p><strong>Working Conditions</strong></p><ul><li>Work may require extended periods of sitting, standing, lifting, bending, stooping, and performing repetitive motion tasks</li><li>Excellent manual dexterity, ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds</li><li>Office, manufacturing, outdoor environment</li><li>Wear personal protective equipment as prescribed</li></ul><p>The above are not intended to be an all-inclusive list of the duties, responsibilities and requirements of the job described.
