<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p><p><strong>Position: Process Engineer</strong></p><p></p><p><strong>Reports To: </strong>Engineering Manager</p><p><br /></p><p><strong>Staff Reports:</strong><strong> </strong>No Direct reports for this role</p><p><br /></p><p><strong>Scope of Work</strong></p><p>Process Engineer responsibilities are to develop, implement, monitor, and articulate manufacturing processes and workflow, liaison between engineering, quality and customers to meet their requirements</p><p><br /></p><p><strong>Job Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Follow and recommend improvements to the ISO9001 and AS/EN9100 policies and procedures </li><li>Interpret customer drawings and specifications</li><li>Create internal and external workflow process (Routers)</li><li>Create BOM’s and associated raw material items</li><li>Create internal inspection plans</li><li>Design, implement and maintain post machining process (Part marking, shot peening, tumbling, parts cleaning)</li><li>Create and /or assist with customer RFQ’s. Create proper workflow and machine cycle times to ensure accurate customer quotes.</li><li>Be the face of Engineering during internal, customer or third-party audits</li><li>Liaison with Customers during visits, builds, NPI activities, process/system audits</li><li>Ensure great customer relations are developed and maintained </li><li>Provide written technical responses to customers on design engineering clarifications and or quality issues as well as performing ongoing reporting to customers</li><li>Clearly and consistently communicate customer Quality expectations to the Organization</li><li>Lead/ coordinate cross-functional NPI teams on product launches, apply lessons learned to continuously improve the NPI process</li><li>Assisting or Leading cross-functional team to investigate quality issues and recommend technical solutions </li><li>Recommend and implement any CI activities </li><li>Strong working knowledge of CAPA problem solving and root cause analysis</li><li>Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to conduct and/or participate in internal training programs and attend external training as required</li><li>Strong verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated diplomacy and professionalism</li><li>Exceptional organizational abilities with task prioritization, multi-tasking, use of timelines and time management techniques</li><li>Conviction to improve personally and support continuous improvement in the department and company as a whole</li><li>High level of personal integrity</li><li><span >Professional/mature</span> demeanor under stressful situations</li><li>Ability to work in a fast-paced environment - effective time management skills</li><li>Must be able to work with little supervision; must be self-directed while having the ability to work seamlessly within a cross functional team environment </li><li>Close working knowledge of GD&T requirements and strong metrology skills</li><li>Intermediate level computer skills using MS Office Suite of programs</li><li>Have training and knowledge of MOL safety requirements including WHIMS</li></ul><p></p><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><ul><li>Education: <ol><li>University degree preferred</li><li>Minimum of 3-year college diploma program in an associated field. </li><li>Or equivalent experience</li></ol></li><li>Training: <ol><li>Provided as needed.</li></ol></li><li>Skills: <ol><li>Ability to learn in team environment. </li><li>Strong verbal and written communication skills.</li><li>Ability to function in a fast-paced engineering environment.</li></ol></li><li>Experience: <ol><li>Minimum 1 – 2 years in manufacturing environment.</li><li>Aerospace and Defense exposure is considered an asset.</li><li>Knowledge of air foil manufacturing is considered an asset.</li></ol></li></ul></p></p>Create Your Resume First
