<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p><p>Field Recreation Inc. (FRI) owns and operates a growing portfolio of multi-sport facilities across the Greater Toronto Area. The Real Estate Developer & Operations Manager is a senior, hands-on leadership role focused exclusively on FRI facilities.</p><p>This role is responsible for the day-to-day facility operations, staff leadership, community partnerships, contract and rental management, and driving utilization and profitability across all FRI venues. The position requires a strong on-site presence, practical operational judgement, and the ability to build trusted relationships with user groups, schools, and community partners.</p><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><p>Facility Operations & Performance</p><p>- Oversee daily operations across all FRI-managed facilities</p><p>- Ensure facilities meet high standards of safety, cleanliness, presentation, and customer experience</p><p>- Manage facility schedules, staffing plans, and daily operational workflows</p><p>- Oversee maintenance planning, preventative maintenance schedules, repairs, and capital projects</p><p>- Identify operational risks and implement solutions to minimize downtime and service disruption</p><p>Staff Leadership & Accountability</p><p>- Directly manage the Facility Maintenance Manager and onsite facility staff</p><p>- Set clear expectations, responsibilities, and performance standards</p><p>- Provide regular on-site supervision, coaching, and performance feedback</p><p>- Ensure staff compliance with safety protocols, operational procedures, and company standards</p><p>- Build a culture of professionalism, ownership, and accountability at each facility</p><p>Facility Utilization, Rentals & Revenue Growth</p><p>- Drive increased facility utilization by sourcing and securing new user groups, leagues, clubs, schools, and training providers</p><p>- Act as the primary point of contact for facility rentals and partnerships</p><p>- Manage the full rental lifecycle: inquiries, negotiations, contract creation, scheduling, execution, and renewals</p><p>- Identify underutilized time slots and proactively develop strategies to monetize them</p><p>Community & Partner Relationships</p><p>- Develop and maintain strong relationships with schools, municipalities, community organizations, and local businesses</p><p>- Represent FRI within the community as a professional, relationship-driven operator</p><p>- Support community events, tournaments, and special bookings hosted at FRI facilities</p><p>Financial & Operational Oversight</p><p>- Monitor facility-level P&Ls, usage reports, staffing costs, and maintenance expenses</p><p>- Budgeting, forecasting, and cost-control initiatives</p><p>- Provider operational input into the long-term capital planning and facility investment decisions</p><p>Systems, Processes & Continuous Improvement</p><p>- Implement and maintain operational systems including checklists, maintenance logs, and reporting tools</p><p>- Standardize operation procedures across facilities to ensure consistency and efficiency</p><p>- Identify opportunities to improve workflows, reduce inefficiencies, and enhance the customer experience</p><p>Qualifications & Experience</p><p>- 3-5+ years of operations or facility management experience, ideally in sport, recreation, or multi-site environments</p><p>- Proven experience managing staff and holding teams accountable in an on-site setting</p><p>- Experience managing contracts, rentals, and external user groups</p><p>- Comfortable working evenings and weekends as required by facility schedules</p><p><strong>Benefits</strong></p><p>Compensation: Competitive based on skills and experience</p></p></p>
