<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p><p><strong>RQ09803 - Sr. Applications Architect</strong></p><p><strong>3-month contract, possible extension</strong></p><p><strong>Land & Resources Cluster - Ministry of Public and Business Service Delivery and Procurement</strong></p><p><strong>Candidate can work remotely, however, may be required to come to office as needed.</strong></p><p>To respond to the priorities of the Government of Ontario through the passage of the Bill 5, Protect Ontario by Unleashing Our Economy Act 2025, the resource may be partially assigned to Bill 5 related projects or initiatives on an as needed basis.</p><p>Assignment Type Attestation</p><p>The Cluster/Ministry confirms that it has received the required internal approval from the Cluster/Branch Director to support a hybrid or remote work arrangement for the MSP FFS resource for the duration of the contract (including extensions).</p><p> Yes, Director approval is in place for the FFS resource to work hybrid or remote</p><p>Director Name: Milos Jokanovic</p><p>The Lands and Resources Cluster (LRC) and the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Agribusiness (OMAFA) require a Senior Solution Architect to update theEnterprise Architecture for theirAgriSuite Portfolio (AgriSuite) .</p><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Providing leadership, guidance and support to the project team and subject matter experts; creates and maintains all <span >models/artifacts/diagrams</span> as it relates to establishing a solution </li><li>Update, develop and validate all required solution architecture models/artifacts, documents and materials (according to industry best practices, GO-ITS standards and OPS EA guidelines using the appropriate version) </li><li>Collaborates with cluster staff, project teams, ministry Subject Matter Expert (SME) and other OPS partners/service providers to ensure architecture alignment </li><li>Develops artifacts leveraging cluster/ministry tools and model repository (e.g. PowerDesigner, DevOps) </li><li>Identify issues and risks to be managed or addressed, and assist the project team or ministry to facilitate mitigation </li><li>Arrange and facilitate validation sessions </li><li>Develop/revise solution architecture artifacts according to cluster and corporate guidance </li><li>Participate in review and information-sharing meetings </li><li>Support Agile Enterprise Architecture (EA) delivery during the project </li><li>Develop reference architecture <span >artifacts/models/patterns</span> to enable shared use for future clients </li><li>Arrange and facilitate Enterprise Architecture (EA) meetings with cluster staff, subject matter experts, and other stakeholders as required </li><li>Support the process of acquiring cluster and corporate approvals, such as Project Gating, LRC cluster governance processes, and corporate architecture governance points (AGP) </li><li>Provide status updates to both the project team and the Enterprise Architecture unit </li><li>Provide transfer of knowledge and project deliverables to identified cluster staff </li><li>Adhere to all OPS GO-ITS Standards, specifically GO-ITS 200PRS Ontario Public Service Enterprise Architecture Governance Requirements and others as required </li><li>Revise architectures per action and/or conditions arising from LRCs governance body (Project Gating Review Committee) and Corporate EA Governance review bodies as required </li><li>Utilize, reuse, and incorporate OPS Reference Architectures into the project architectures </li><li>Ensure alignment with any other related and relevant business materials </li></ul><p><strong>MUST HAVE:</strong></p><ul><li>Depth of knowledge in enterprise architecture domains including <strong>business, information, application, technology, and security architecture.</strong> Proficiency in architecture frameworks and standards such as <strong>TOGAF </strong>or <strong>Zachman</strong>. Ability to design, integrate, and optimize solution architectures with strong technical problem-solving skills </li><li>Hands on demonstrated experience developing all required application architecture <strong>artifacts </strong></li><li>Demonstrated knowledge of and experience in leading and delivering solution Architecture projects </li><li>Hands on demonstrated experience preparing and delivering presentations to cluster and corporate architecture review boards to successful obtain approvals </li><li>Experience reporting progress on deliverables to team, project leads and management, including proactively raising risks/issues with mitigations </li><li>5+ years of experience</li></ul><p><strong>Nice to have</strong></p><ul><li>OPS experience</li></ul></p></p>
