We're united by a shared commitment to excellent and equitable health care.</em><br>Position Overview<br>Under the general direction of the Manager, Staff Scheduling and while demonstrating a commitment to the Mission, Values and Management Philosophy of St. Boniface Hospital (SBH), the Sheduling Assistant is responsible for: assisting clinical units and departments with scheduling and related functions in support of sufficient staffing levels on a 24-hour basis; and performing other related duties as assigned.</p><p>Experience</p><ul><li>Grade 12, or equivalent required.</li><li>One (1) year experience working with ESP or other computerized staffing system performing extensive staffing and scheduling functions for an organization.**</li><li>Customer service experience where the primary function was acting as a direct point of contact for customers via telephone and/or in person required.</li><li>Experience working in a fast-paced, high demand environment required.</li><li>Experience with Excel required.</li><li>Note: Preference will be given to those candidates with previous staff scheduling experience.</li></ul><p>Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)</p><ul><li>Grade 12, or equivalent required.</li></ul><p>Certification/Licensure/Registration<br>Not Applicable</p><p>Qualifications And Skills</p><ul><li>Knowledge of computer systems and proficiency in the use of various common software applications including spreadsheet, word processing, database and email applications.</li><li>Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.</li><li>Ability to expertly use ESP effectively and efficiently to replace/schedule staff.</li><li>Ability to retain information which is of a confidential nature.</li><li>Ability to adhere to and meet strict deadlines.</li><li>Effective verbal and written communication skills.</li><li>Ability to perform as a team member and seek assistance as necessary.</li><li>Good interpersonal communication skills.</li><li>Polite and courteous telephone manner.</li><li>Ability to organize and prioritize workload.</li></ul><p>Physical Requirements<br>A RESUME IS REQUIRED WHEN APPLYING FOR THIS POSITION.</p><p>Not Applicable</p><p><em>St. Boniface Hospital is committed to empowering a workforce that welcomes and celebrates diversity by fostering culturally safe places for all employees.
