Seamstress/Tailor

Job Description

<p>This position will be responsible for completing tasks to uniforms and clothing including:</p><ul><li>Read and accurately identify the customer's needs per the Work Instruction Document.</li><li>Take necessary measurements and mark garments for alterations with ability to solve individual sizing issues</li><li>Perform uniform sewing, alterations and embellishments with accuracy and efficiency to include taking up stride, lengthening/shortening tails on shirts, tapering shirts, adjusting waists, hemming trousers, mending tears, replacing zippers, applying patches, applying name strips, applying striping, and applying patches.</li><li>Operate industrial sewing machine</li><li>Meet production and quality standards</li><li>Apply safety precautions and standard operating procedures</li><li>Prompt and reliable attendance</li><li>Any other duties as assigned by the Sewing Lead</li></ul><p>Other responsibilities:</p><ul><li>Maintain a clean and safe work environment</li><li>Communicate with team members through on-going projects</li></ul><p>Job Type: Full-time</p><p>Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour</p><p>Benefits:</p><ul><li>Extended health care</li></ul><p>Experience:</p><ul><li>sewing: 1 year (preferred)</li></ul><p>Work Location: In person</p>
