Job Description
THE ROLE
A Senior Chemist is required by CareerWise Recruitment for our multinational medical device client in Galway for a fulltime on-site role on an initial 12-month contract.
The Senior Chemist will act as subject matter expert and provide oversight for critical NPD areas.
- Work independently to plan and schedule activities to meet project timelines.
- Author technical reports and validation documents.
- Provide guidance and communicate updates to cross-functional and cross-site teams.
- Support laboratory investigations to determine root cause and implement meaningful corrective actions.
- Drive continuous improvement projects to reduce testing lead-times and support cost saving targets.
- Supports training of new colleagues.
- Supports Internal and External Audit programs.
- Support Regulatory submissions.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s Degree (Level 8) in a relevant Chemistry, Science, Engineering or other technical discipline.
- 5+ years’ relevant experience in a medical device organization.
- Test method development experience essential.
- Experience in dissolution/HPLC and Liquid/Gas Chromatography.
