<p><b>Job Title: </b>Senior Data Engineers (<b>2 positions</b>)</p><p><b>Job Type:</b> Full-time 13-month Contract</p><p><b>Duration:</b> Until December 2026 (with strong potential for extension)</p><p><b>Start Date:</b> ASAP</p><p><b>Location:</b> Remote (Preference for candidates in Mississauga or Montreal, QC)</p><p><b>Hourly Rate:</b> $110/hr Inc.</p><p><b>Shift Schedule: </b> Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM EST (Must be able to work with Eastern Time Zone)</p><p><br></p><p><b>Role Summary</b></p><p>The Senior Data Engineers will be responsible for building scalable, efficient, and standardized data pipelines and data products within our client's <b>Microsoft Fabric and Azure ecosystem</b>. Working closely with the AI Automation Engineer and internal teams, they will design and deliver enterprise-grade data solutions that serve as the backbone of data-driven initiatives. Ideal candidates will be self-driven, collaborative problem-solvers with deep technical knowledge of data engineering, CI/CD, and Fabric-based architectures.</p><p><br></p><p><b>Key Responsibilities</b></p><ul><li><b>Pipeline Development:</b> Design, build, and maintain efficient ETL/ELT pipelines in <b>Microsoft Fabric</b>, integrating data from <b>SAP BW</b> and other enterprise sources.</li><li><b>Data Product Engineering:</b> Build standardized, reusable, and high-quality data products supporting analytics and Power BI reporting.</li><li><b>Collaboration & Initiative:</b> Work closely with business users to gather requirements proactively, without waiting for direction.</li><li><b>Automation Support:</b> Partner with the AI Automation Engineer to integrate automation frameworks that accelerate data product creation.</li><li><b>Data Modelling:</b> Develop semantic models and star schemas that power analytics and BI solutions.</li><li><b>Governance & Quality:</b> Implement observability, lineage, and quality controls following DataOps best practices.</li><li><b>Performance Optimization:</b> Monitor and optimize pipelines for speed, reliability, and scalability.</li><li><b>Continuous Improvement:</b> Stay up to date on evolving Fabric features, Azure Synapse, and modern data engineering techniques.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b>Qualifications</b></p><ul><li>10-14 years of experience as a <b>Data Engineer</b>, <b>BI Engineer</b>, or similar role.</li><li>Proven experience with <b>Microsoft Fabric</b>, <b>Data Factory</b>, <b>Power BI</b>, and <b>Data Lakehouse</b> architectures.</li><li>Strong programming skills in <b>Python</b>, <b>SQL</b>, and experience with CI/CD tools.</li><li>Familiarity with <b>Azure Synapse</b>, <b>Purview</b>, and <b>Azure data governance</b> (Purview experience is a nice-to-have).</li><li>Solid understanding of <b>data modelling</b>, <b>metadata enrichment</b>, and <b>data mesh/data product principles</b>.</li><li>Hands-on experience connecting to <b>SAP BW</b> or ERP systems.</li><li>Strong collaboration skills and ability to work cross-functionally with technical and business stakeholders.</li><li>Self-starter with a proactive mindset and excellent problem-solving abilities.</li></ul><p></p>Create Your Resume First
