<h3>Responsibilities</h3>
<ul>
<li>Conduct detailed analysis of contract documents and specifications for large hard‑bid/lump‑sum, construction management and small‑to‑medium design‑build projects to determine overall project requirements.</li>
<li>Establish a critical path schedule including milestone dates and completion timelines to meet contract completion dates for large projects.</li>
<li>Complete full quantity take‑off of all labor, equipment and materials for larger scopes.</li>
<li>Lead pricing of general expense and project‑specific general requirements for medium to large projects.</li>
<li>Complete as‑bid estimate and trade buy‑out strategy with operations team.</li>
<li>Assist in presenting estimate/proposal and prepare and deliver client presentations.</li>
<li>Perform quantity, material and labor take‑off from drawings, specifications and related documents.</li>
<li>Document all information relating to the estimate and archive and organize such information to transfer to the project team upon award.</li>
<li>Conduct a risk and opportunity analysis for review by chief estimator.</li>
<li>Liaise with external consultants and project management organizations to estimate project budget requirements and coordinate tender development process on behalf of clients.</li>
<li>Monitor client project‑specific success criteria and hold team accountable.</li>
</ul>
<h3>Qualifications</h3>
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or trade experience or equivalent.</li>
<li>Gold Seal certification in estimating required (CDN).</li>
<li>12 years of progressive experience in construction cost estimating, with onsite experience preferred.</li>
<li>Successfully led pursuits valued up to $250 million in various delivery models.</li>
<li>Experience with self‑perform estimate and productivity understanding.</li>
<li>Knowledge of different construction methods, planning, scheduling, sequencing, potential problems and timelines.</li>
<li>Extensive knowledge of bid preparation, including quantity take‑off procedures, trade contractor procurement, pricing and bid closing procedures.</li>
<li>Expertise in contract terms for various delivery models and ability to identify contract risks and opportunities.</li>
<li>Strong ability to develop and maintain productive relationships with owners, peers and industry representatives.</li>
<li>Resourceful, self‑motivated with strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.</li>
<li>Ability to lead successful teams.</li>
</ul>
<p>The estimated salary range for this role is $115,000.00 – $149,000.00, based on your experience and qualifications. Final compensation will be confirmed as part of a personalized offer.</p>
