<b> Senior Finance Consultant - Controls Documentation - 3 Month Contract </b> <br><br> We are seeking an experienced Financial Consultant to support the documentation, assessment, and enhancement of internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR) in alignment with IFRS requirements and recognized internal control frameworks (e.g., COSO or COBIT). This role is critical to ensuring the integrity, reliability, and transparency of the company's financial reporting as a publicly traded entity. The consultant will work closely with finance, accounting, risk management, and internal audit teams to design and document effective control processes and promote a strong control culture across the organization. <br><br> <b> About the Opportunity: </b> <ul><li> Document and Standardize Controls: Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of key financial reporting processes, including process narratives, flowcharts, and risk-control matrices. <li> ICFR Framework Implementation: Ensure the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls in accordance with IFRS-based financial reporting requirements and internal control standards. <li> Risk and Control Assessment: Identify and evaluate key financial reporting risks, determine control gaps, and recommend practical remediation actions. <li> Testing and Validation: Support or perform control testing, coordinate evidence collection, and evaluate results to ensure adequate control performance. <li> Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with process owners to optimize financial processes, ensuring that efficiency gains do not compromise control effectiveness. <li> Audit Coordination: Serve as a liaison between management, internal audit, and external auditors for ICFR related documentation and walkthroughs. <li> Policy and Procedure Development: Assist in drafting and updating accounting policies, procedures, and control guidelines to align with IFRS and internal governance standards. <li> Training and Knowledge Sharing: Provide guidance and training to finance and operational teams on ICFR principles and control documentation standards. </ul> <b> About You </b> <br> Qualifications <ul><li> Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline. A professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, CA, CIA, or CISA is highly desirable. </ul> Experience: <ul><li> Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial control, internal audit, or accounting within a publicly traded or regulated company. <li> Proven experience with ICFR implementation, documentation, and testing under IFRS reporting standards. <li> Deep understanding of internal control frameworks such as COSO (2013) or COBIT. </ul> Skills: <ul><li> Strong analytical, documentation, and process-mapping skills. <li> Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Visio) and experience with audit or GRC tools (e.g., Workiva, AuditBoard, SAP GRC). <li> Strong interpersonal and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration. </ul> Attributes: <ul><li> High attention to detail and sound professional judgment. <li> Ability to operate independently in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. <li> Commitment to ethical standards, transparency, and continuous improvement. </ul> <b> Pay Rate </b><br> $50 / Hour <br><br> <b> How to Apply </b><br> Click the "Apply Now" button and follow the instructions to submit your resume.
