<p><h3>SR Specialist, Site Reliability Engineer</h3><p>Join to apply for the <b>SR Specialist, Site Reliability Engineer</b> role at <b>S&P Global</b></p><h3>Overview</h3><p>The Data & Research Tech Operations team is accountable for delivering infrastructure architecture, implementation, and deployments on S&P Global Market Intelligence Cloud & Data Centers in collaboration with S&P Global Digital Infrastructure and other teams. The focus areas include Infrastructure as Code, Application Architecture, Automation, Project Delivery, Environment Troubleshooting, and Low-Level Design Documentation.</p><h3>About The Role</h3><p>Grade Level (for internal use): 09. This position is part of a world-class Product Services & Engineering team responsible for architecting solutions for business requirements within various product offerings of S&P Global Market Intelligence, used by tens of thousands of users globally. The team ensures cloud solutions that deliver greater reliability and resilience, high performance, high availability, and scalability. The role partners with a global team of professionals and is accountable for understanding business requirements and architecting solutions for cloud delivery of large-scale data processing, aggregation, and publishing of market data systems.</p><h3>Responsibilities & Impact</h3><ul><li>Architect and optimize cloud infrastructure, standardize technology stacks for cloud and data centers, implement cloud service catalogs and service governance, and drive cloud-first strategy in partnership with development and business stakeholders.</li><li>As a Site Reliability Engineer, deliver mission-critical infrastructure with the highest levels of availability, performance, and security. Support and operate large-scale desktop and web application systems.</li><li>Own Technical Operations objectives and drive team goals for Infrastructure and Application performance and growth. Address problems of high severity across systems, infrastructure, network, application, database, data, and protocols.</li><li>Technical operations and support for cloud infrastructure for WEB/API applications hosted in Windows/Linux across multiple data centers.</li><li>Ensure availability, consistency, stability, and performance of applications.</li><li>Participate in critical incident management with hands-on troubleshooting of IIS/.NET/Apache, infrastructure, and network performance issues; provide 3rd-level support and stakeholder communication.</li><li>Coordinate with Development and Tech teams on product rollouts, releases, and critical fixes; work with Performance and QA teams on performance metrics commitments.</li><li>Coordinate OS upgrades and vulnerability remediation to ensure audit and compliance.</li><li>Develop observability capabilities with Grafana/Prometheus/Loki at an administrative level and manage logs using Loki.</li></ul><h3>What We’re Looking For</h3><h3>Basic Required Qualifications</h3><ul><li>Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.</li><li>2 to 3 years of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) experience.</li><li>Scripting skills in Shell, Python, Perl, PowerShell, or similar.</li><li>Experience in infrastructure as code using Terraform, CloudFormation Templates (CFTs), etc.</li><li>Ability to perform Apache/Tomcat + J2EE installations on Linux-based systems.</li><li>Working knowledge of AWS cloud technologies: VPC, EC2, EKS, ELB, RDS, Lambda, SES, SNS, Containers, API Gateway, Docker, Kubernetes, etc.</li><li>Knowledge of observability tools such as ELK, Grafana, Splunk.</li><li>CI/CD delivery using configuration management tools (GitHub, VSTS, Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Salt, Jenkins, Maven, etc.).</li><li>Knowledge in load-balancing and high-availability planning with BigIP, Application Load Balancers, NLB.</li></ul><h3>About S&P Global Market Intelligence</h3><p>At S&P Global Market Intelligence, a division of S&P Global, we deliver accurate, deep, and insightful information.
