We work with proactive clients who understand the importance of having exceptional staff.<br /></p><p>Partner Staffing on behalf of our Client, we are seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead large-diameter piling and shoring projects for commercial, institutional, and industrial developments in Alberta and across Western Canada. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in deep foundations, ground engineering, and heavy civil construction, with proven leadership in delivering safe, high-quality, and efficient work on complex job sites.<br /></p><p>As the field leader, the Superintendent will oversee all site operations, ensuring schedules, budgets, and safety targets are met while maintaining strong communication between project management, field crews, subcontractors, and clients.<br /></p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><br />Requirements<p>Key Responsibilities<br /></p><ul><li>Lead day-to-day field operations for large diameter piling and shoring projects, including drilling, casing installation, concrete placement, and anchor systems.<br /></li><li>Supervise and coordinate field crews, subcontractors, and equipment resources to ensure efficient and safe execution.<br /></li><li>Review project drawings, specifications, and work plans to ensure compliance with design and engineering standards.<br /></li><li>Work closely with Project Managers and Engineers to plan daily work activities, sequence operations, and track progress.<br /></li><li>Maintain and enforce all safety, quality, and environmental procedures in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.<br /></li><li>Oversee equipment mobilization, material deliveries, and logistics to minimize downtime and ensure productivity.<br /></li><li>Conduct regular site inspections, toolbox meetings, and progress reports.<br /></li><li>Identify potential issues and collaborate with engineering and management to develop effective solutions.<br /></li><li>Mentor and develop field personnel to promote skill growth and adherence to company standards.<br /></li><li>Foster positive relationships with clients, consultants, and inspectors to ensure clear communication and site cooperation.<br /></li></ul><p>Qualifications<br /></p><ul><li>Minimum 5+ years of experience in piling, shoring, or deep foundation construction, with at least 3 years in a Superintendent or Foreman capacity.<br /></li><li>Strong technical understanding of large-diameter drilled piles, secant walls, soldier piles, tiebacks, and shotcrete shoring systems.<br /></li><li>Experience working on commercial, institutional, or industrial projects in Western Canada preferred.<br /></li><li>Proven leadership and organizational skills with a focus on safety, quality, and performance.<br /></li><li>Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and geotechnical reports.<br /></li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with multidisciplinary teams and clients.<br /></li></ul><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><br />Benefits<ul><li>Competitive compensation package<br /></li><li>Comprehensive benefits <br /></li><li>Strong pipeline of ongoing and upcoming work across Western Canada.<br /></li><li>Collaborative team environment with a focus on safety, integrity, and technical excellence.<br /></li><li>Opportunities for continued growth and leadership development.<br /></li></ul><p><br /></p><p>Partner Staffing is Bringing Talent to Business.
