Further information is available at www.newflyer.com</p><p></p><p><strong>POSITION SUMMARY:</strong></p><p>As a key member of our Publications Team, you will create computer-generated illustrations and other artwork to be incorporated into the Parts and Service manuals, Operator Guides, or any other company requirement. Create 3D illustrations of components for technical illustrations</p><p></p><p><strong>WHAT YOU WILL DO:</strong></p><p></p><ul><li>Organize and complete assignments effectively following priorities set by the Project Coordinator.</li></ul><ul><li>Using computerized drawing software, create and prepare specific illustrations required in the manuals or any other artwork required.</li><li>Accurately create isometric and perspective illustrations using specialized software and established illustrating practices.</li><li>When required, research items will be illustrated by referring to the bill of materials, engineering drawings, and vendor descriptions.</li><li>Interpret specifications, engineering CAD, <span >mechanical/electrical</span> drawings, and sketches.</li><li>Create 3D models as required for technical illustrations.</li><li>Meet product specifications and compliance with work procedures and processes.</li><li>Perform quality control checks on all work.</li><li>Perform efficiently and effectively in a team environment.</li><li>Consult the Project Coordinator for clarification and information.</li><li>Upgrade skills on new or updated software when required.</li><li>Perform other tasks as assigned.</li></ul><p></p><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><p><strong>WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:</strong></p><p></p><ul><li>Post-secondary education or equivalent experience.</li><li>Excellent working knowledge of specialized illustration software including Corel Designer, Corel Draw.</li><li>Good working knowledge of 3D modeling software such as NX, Pro-engineer</li><li>Five years minimum proven experience in creating complex technical illustrations in an engineering manufacturing environment. </li><li>Two years minimum proven experience creating 3D solid models.</li><li>Strong technical background in vehicle or aircraft systems and components. aspects of technical illustrating and department illustration standards.</li><li>Excellent understanding of engineering drawings and standard practices</li><li>Desktop PC Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) station with peripherals, printers, and general office equipment.</li><li>Excellent understanding of technical illustrating standards.</li><li>Computer literate in MS Office and Windows OS.</li><li>Well organized with the ability to work under tight deadlines.</li><li>Excellent teamwork skills.</li></ul><p><strong>Benefits</strong></p><p><strong>WHY JOIN OUR TEAM:</strong></p><p></p><ul><li>Competitive Wages.</li><li>A continuous learning environment.</li><li>Ability to advance your career with a growing company.</li><li>NFI Group has been named a Manitoba Top Employer for 2020 and this is the tenth since the competition was established in 2007.</li><li>Employee social committee organizes numerous events throughout the year, including summer barbecues, holiday festivities, sporting events and tournaments, and much more.</li><li>Ongoing employee development through a variety of in-house training initiatives along with tuition subsidies for courses at outside institutions.</li></ul><p></p><p><strong>OUR WHY: </strong></p><p>We exist to move people.
