<p>Position Overview:</p><p>The Traffic Control Person (TCP) is responsible for ensuring the safe movement of vehicles, equipment, and pedestrians around construction or work sites. The role involves maintaining public and worker safety by following proper traffic control procedures, signage setup, and communication with site supervisors and other crew members.</p><ul><li>****MUST HAVE A TRAFFIC CONTROLLER Licence*****</li></ul><p>Key Responsibilities:</p><ul><li>Direct and control vehicle and pedestrian traffic using stop/slow signs and hand signals.</li><li>Set up, maintain, and remove traffic control devices such as cones, barricades, and signage according to site and provincial standards.</li><li>Communicate clearly with other flaggers, site supervisors, and equipment operators via radio or hand signals.</li><li>Monitor traffic and worksite activity to prevent accidents and ensure worker safety.</li><li>Respond quickly to changing traffic conditions and adjust control patterns as needed.</li><li>Ensure all traffic control equipment is in good condition and report any damage or deficiencies.</li><li>Follow all company safety policies and comply with the Ontario Traffic Manual Book 7 (or applicable provincial standard).</li><li>Maintain a professional appearance and represent the company positively</li></ul><p>Qualifications & Requirements:</p><ul><li>Valid Traffic Control Person (TCP) / Flagger certification (Book 7 or equivalent).</li><li>Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to job sites.</li><li>Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.</li><li>Good communication and teamwork skills.</li><li>Physically able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs if required.</li><li>Knowledge of construction site safety and hazard awareness.</li></ul><p>Preferred Skills (Asset):</p><ul><li>Previous experience in traffic control, construction, or road maintenance.</li><li>First Aid / CPR certification.</li><li>WHMIS and/or Working at Heights certification.</li></ul><p>Work Schedule:</p><ul><li>Shifts may vary depending on project requirements (days, evenings, weekends).</li><li>Overtime may be available.</li></ul><p>Job Type: Full-time</p><p>Pay: $17.75-$21.50 per hour</p><p>Work Location: In person</p>
