Mechanical knowledge, attention to detail, communication and a positive attitude will contribute to the overall success of this role!</p><p></p><p><strong>Roles & Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Inspect vehicle engine and <span >mechanical/electrical</span> components to diagnose issues accurately</li><li>Inspect vehicle computer and electronic systems to repair, maintain, and upgrade</li><li>Conduct routine maintenance work (replacing fluids, lubricating parts, etc.) aiming to vehicle functionality and longevity</li><li>Schedule future maintenance sessions and advise motorist on good vehicle use</li><li>Repair or replace broken or dysfunctional parts and fix issues (e.g. leaks)</li><li>Provide accurate estimates (cost, time, effort) for a repair or maintenance job</li><li>Communicate with the supervisor on a regular basis about work performed, necessary changes, new parts needed, or any other concerns related to repair or maintenance work on vehicles</li></ul><p></p><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Red Seal certified Mechanic license</li><li>Safety certifications are an asset (First Aid, Fall Arrest, WHMIS, etc.)</li><li>3+ years of experience working in a mechanic shop</li><li>Valid driver&#39;s license</li><li>Experience entering service records accurately and on time</li><li>Strong customer service skills</li></ul><p></p><p><strong>Benefits:</strong></p><ul><li>Competitive wages from $32 to $40.00 per hour</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>Medical, vision & dental care</li><li>Overtime pay x1.5 and bonuses</li><li>Retirement plan</li><li>Air conditioned building & shop</li><li>A long-term career with training and advancement opportunities</li><li>Paid time off</li></ul></p><p></p></p></p>
