Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Welder to join our clients fabrication team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform MIG and TIG welding on various metals, including stainless steel, aluminum, and carbon steel.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols to determine project requirements.
• Prepare materials by cutting, grinding, and cleaning surfaces for welding.
• Set up and operate welding machines and related tools safely and efficiently.
• Maintain proper welding parameters (voltage, amperage, gas flow) based on material type and thickness.
• Inspect welds visually and with measuring tools to ensure high-quality standards and structural integrity.
• Tack weld, fit, and assemble components before final welding.
• Follow all workplace safety guidelines, including PPE use and equipment lockout procedures.
• Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment and tools.
• Collaborate with fabrication, engineering, and quality control teams to ensure project success and accuracy.

Qualifications:

• Valid CWB certification to CSA W47.1 (required)
• Minimum 2 years of MIG and TIG welding experience, preferably in a manufacturing or fabrication setting.
• Proficient in working with a variety of metals, especially stainless steel and aluminum.
• Strong knowledge of welding techniques, safety standards, and equipment operation.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
• Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
• Physical ability to lift heavy materials, stand for long periods, and work in a fast-paced environment.
