<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p>Salary: <br /><p><strong>Job Description</strong></p><p><br /></p><p>The driver will act as an integral member of the 1st Class Childcare team to assist in the overall management of transporting children safely to and from a 1st Class Childcare Programs/Centres in accordance Albertas Child Care Licensing Regulations and 1st Class Childcare driver policy, procedures and safety manual.</p><p>This position will report to the Owner/Director, Management and the <span >TransportationManager.</span></p><p><br /></p><p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities</strong></p><p> Conduct daily <span >checklist/inspection</span> every morning.</p><p> Maintains up to date records of bus maintenance.</p><p> Maintain supplies on bus.</p><p> Check fuel daily and re-fuel as required.</p><p> Confirm child head count at every drop off and pick up.</p><p> Ensuring all children are in age appropriate child safety restraints at all times before driving.</p><p> Always maintain constant supervision of the children on the bus.</p><p> Follows safe bus loading and unloading procedures.</p><p> Conduct daily walk through on the bus after every drop off.</p><p> Know and abide by all policies and procedures, including evacuation and accident procedures.</p><p> Daily housekeeping duties as required to keep the bus clean which includes sweeping/vacuuming floor and seats, <span >cleaning/sanitizing</span> high touch areas.</p><p><br /></p><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><p> Computer knowlwdge and an ability to be trained on using corporate 3rd party software</p><p> Class 4 Drivers License with a clear drivers abstract to drive up to 21 passenger buses (required on employment).</p><p> Ability to perform employment test such as Road test, Ride along and any other special training when required.</p><p> Criminal Check & Vulnerable Sector Search.</p><p> CPR/ First Aid certification (Preferred)</p><p> Early Childcare Educator Certification of any level preferred</p><p><br /></p><p><strong>Experience and Additional Competencies</strong></p><p> A passion for working with children.</p><p> Strong interpersonal skills to gain trust and respect of children and their parents.</p><p> Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.</p><p> Excellent Oral and written communication skills.</p><p><br /></p><p><strong>Physical Requirements and Work Environment</strong></p><p> Fast paced environment.</p><p> Able to lift up to 50 pounds.</p><p> Able to walk, bend, stand, squat or crouch to childs level.</p><p> Able to physical respond quickly in an emergency.</p></p></p>
