We do this by addressing the root causes of crime through housing, education, employment programs and support so that individuals have alternatives to breaking the law. CJHS values diversity and inclusion and welcomes qualified applicants from all walks of life.</p><p></p><p>The Program</p><p><br><br></p><p>The Employment Hub is a dynamic, trauma-informed, and client-centered program designed to support adults who are currently involved in, or have had previous involvement with, the criminal justice system. Recognizing the complex barriers faced by this population, the Hub offers a comprehensive range of employment-focused services that promote personal growth, economic independence, and long-term community reintegration.</p><p><br><br></p><p>The Position </p><p></p><ul><li>Complete intake and eligibility assessments for the Employment Hub in the office and at correctional facilities and provide referrals to other internal or external programs.</li><li>Serve as a key contributor to the effective functioning of the Employment Hub and the broader organization.</li><li>Offer ongoing case management for individuals not currently engaged in a formal case management program.</li><li>Utilize a client-centered case management approach, which includes:<ul><li>Collaborative goal setting</li><li>Crisis resolution</li><li>Accessing addiction and/or mental health counseling</li><li>Assistance with obtaining identification</li><li>Meeting basic needs</li><li>Referring to safe and affordable housing</li><li>Navigating complex systems</li><li>Supporting positive lifestyle changes</li></ul></li><li>Engage in outreach and relationship-building within the community to support client success (as needed).</li><li>Maintain accurate and timely casework documentation.</li><li>Collect data and report on program outcomes and client progress.</li></ul><p></p><p>Qualifications</p><ul><li>Valid drivers license and reliable transportation.</li><li>Excellent interpersonal skills.</li><li>Relevant education or equivalent experience.</li><li>Understanding of the criminal justice system (asset).</li><li>Experience working with marginalized populations (asset).</li><li>Brain Story Certification (asset).</li><li>Current Criminal Record Check (CPIC) required (within the past six months).</li></ul><p></p><p>Your past does not define your future.
