<p>Adecco is currently hiring a full-time experienced <b>Geologist</b> to join our client’s dynamic drilling operations team in Calgary, AB. In this role, you will play a key part in monitoring geological conditions during drilling, analyzing data, and providing real-time recommendations to optimize drilling performance. This role requires you to be a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in geology and a proven ability to work collaboratively in fast-paced environments.</p><p><br></p><ul><li><b>Location:</b> Calgary, AB</li><li><b>Shift: </b>Monday to Friday</li><li><b>Job type:</b> Temporary | Full-time | 6-month contract</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b>Here's why you should apply:</b></p><ul><li>Paid weekly accurate and on time</li><li>Strong health and safety programs</li><li>Medical and dental benefits once qualified</li><li>Free training programs</li><li>New and quicker onboarding process</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b>Responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li>Monitor and evaluate geological data throughout drilling operations.</li><li>Analyze rock cuttings, core samples, and mud logs to determine lithology and stratigraphy.</li><li>Provide real-time geological interpretations and recommendations to the drilling team.</li><li>Ensure accurate and timely reporting of geological data and findings.</li><li>Collaborate with drilling engineers and other team members to improve drilling efficiency and safety.</li><li>Maintain comprehensive and organized records of geological data and wellsite activities.</li><li>Ensure full compliance with safety and environmental regulations during all drilling operations.</li><li>Participate in pre-drill planning and post-drill review meetings.</li><li>Stay current with advancements in geological techniques, data analysis, and drilling technologies.</li><li>Mentor and provide technical support to junior geologists and field personnel.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b>Qualifications:</b></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Earth Sciences, or a related field.</li><li>8–10 years of relevant experience in wellsite geology or a related discipline.</li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on data accuracy.</li><li>Proficiency in geological and drilling-related software and tools.</li><li>Excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.</li><li>Solid understanding of drilling operations and wellsite safety protocols.</li><li>Willingness to work in remote locations and adapt to field conditions.</li><li>Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.</li><li>Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada</li></ul><p></p>
