The District offers its respect to the Knowledge Keepers and all First Peoples who have been on these lands since time immemorial.</p><p>Salary is based on TQS category and years of experience, ranging from<br>$62,445 - $109,520<br>.<br>Grad Quest<br>Teacher<br>Competition: T-25-541<br>Location/Dept.: Burnsview Secondary<br>FTE 0.86<br>Start Date: As soon as possible<br>Term of Employment: Term Specific to June 30, 2026, or return of incumbent.<br>Posted: October 1, 2025<br>Application Deadline: 12:00 P.M., Tuesday, October 7, 2025<br>The Grad Quest Secondary Teacher uses strength-based and trauma informed approaches and a universal design framework to support classroom teachers and support staff working with students exhibiting unique learning challenges with an emphasis on students with Ministry of Education Special Needs designations "Physically Dependent" (A), "Deafblind" (B), "Physical Disability or Chronic Health" (D), "Visual Impairment" (E), "Deaf or Hard of Hearing" (F), "Autism" (G) and "Mild Intellectual Disability" (K).</p><p>The Grad Quest Secondary Teacher collaborates with classroom teachers to support student success in the classroom environment and based on the students' individual strengths and stretches, provides individualized opportunities for students to develop the core competencies.</p><p>The Grad Quest Secondary Teacher acts as case manager; developing and implementing education plans such as Individual Education Plans and Positive Behaviour Support Plans. This teacher enables students access to prevention and intervention related supports and services as per students social, emotional, physical, mental well-being. This teacher coordinates specialized services such as occupational therapy and physiotherapy services.
