<h3>Who You Are</h3>
<ul>
<li>Must be enrolled in an Engineering co‑op (or internship) program at a recognized Canadian university</li>
<li>Have excellent computer skills and experience working with Microsoft Office Suite</li>
<li>Ability to communicate verbally and in writing clearly and concisely, using appropriate technical vocabulary</li>
<li>Hold a valid Class 5 driver’s license</li>

<li>Use SQL and Python to query, process, report, and work with asset management data</li>
<li>Support User Acceptance Testing for new and existing applications</li>
<li>Support manual and automatic data entry into enterprise applications</li>
</ul>

<h3>Asset Strategy & Analytics – Electrical – Edmonton</h3>
<ul>
<li>Review reported system deficiencies and assist in work approval</li>
<li>Use SQL to query, process, report, and work with asset management data</li>
<li>Apply analytic skills to identify and initiate asset repair or replacement programs</li>
<li>Apply leadership/project management skills to engage stakeholders and lead on solution development process</li>
<li>Assist in planning yearly transmission and distribution system capital maintenance program</li>
</ul>

<h3>Asset Modernization – Electrical – Edmonton</h3>

<li>Develop and review SCADA points lists for varying projects</li>
<li>Use automated tools to support Distribution SCADA projects and programs</li>
<li>Work with System Operators to validate SCADA points in preparation for field installation</li>
<li>Apply analytic skills to develop automated tools for new products</li>
<li>Support the tracking of project costs for KPI reporting, SIM card costs, etc.</li>
<li>Assist in revising existing processes and procedures</li>
</ul>

<li>Calculate structure loading & determine pole class and guy length requirements based on tangential and sheer loading & balancing of static forces</li>
<li>Clearance calculations of overhead facilities</li>
<li>Size electrical equipment, wire, cable, and appropriate over‑current protective devices</li>
<li>Develop project cost and resource estimates</li>
<li>Prepare detailed material lists & order material</li>
<li>95% office based, 5% field based</li>
</ul>
<p>Software used: Microsoft Office 365, AutoCAD</p>
<h3>Telecom Engineering – Electrical, Computer, Communication Engineering – Edmonton</h3>
<ul>
<li>Support design for projects to modernize and expand the utility‑owned Telecom system through various project types and provide operational support as needed</li>
<li>Provide drafting, construction packages, and mapping support</li>
<li>Mark up preliminary and as‑built drawing packages as required, and coordinate drawing packages with other Engineering staff</li>
<li>Participate in pre‑commissioning of new assets including testing and configuration of devices and collection of asset data for entry into Maximo</li>
<li>Use telecom network design software tool for planning telecom networks</li>
<li>Conduct data analysis in support of network planning activities</li>
</ul>
<p>Software used: Microsoft Office 365, Google Earth Pro, MicroStation</p>
<h3>CCM Expediter – Electrical – Edmonton</h3>
<ul>
<li>Ensure project deliverables (Final engineer reviewed Microsoft Word document or Final engineer reviewed AutoCAD design) are completed</li>
<li>Collaborate with Engineering, Lands, Scheduling, and Warehouse departments to adapt current documents or designs due to changing priorities</li>
<li>Regularly communicate with customers to understand their service requirements, discuss timelines, and obtain project‑related information</li>
<li>Support the team through various duties including data entry and analysis, documentation, and application of company initiatives</li>
<li>100% office‑based with field opportunities (site visits or observations)</li>
</ul>
<p>Software used: AutoCAD, Microsoft Office 365, Networks, Abadata, ArcGIS, ATCO Project Server, Oracle, Maximo</p>
<h3>Operational Technology Support Team – Computer Engineering – Vegreville</h3>
<ul>
<li>System monitoring: Assist in monitoring OT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and industrial control systems</li>
<li>Technical support: Provide first‑level support for OT applications, hardware, and connectivity issues</li>
<li>Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve incidents related to OT systems, escalating when necessary</li>
<li>Documentation: Maintain accurate records of incidents, resolutions, and system configurations</li>
<li>Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, IT staff, and operations teams to ensure system reliability</li>
<li>Cybersecurity awareness: Support initiatives to strengthen OT security, including OS hardening, patching and vulnerability management</li>
